- I have four children; Amy, Stuart, Lucy and Theo – they keep me busy!
- I live in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside
- I’m a Registered Chocoholic with a sad tendency towards Science Fiction!
- Despite being generally unfit I’ve done the Great North Run over 20 times and done over 100 Parkruns!

Current role: Deputy TEL Manager
I’m primarily a Learning Technologist working in FMS TEL, playing a leading role in a number of educational technology projects and services. Its a great job because we do a lot of new and exciting developments and work with a wide range of learners, teachers and other staff in our Faculty, the wider University and with external partners. Every day brings something new!
I’ve a broad interest in e-learning and have done a lot of work in ePortfolios, Learning Maps and Co-Curate. See Publications
Previous Work
I have a background in cancer research – though always including an element of technology, which carries through in to my current work. My background in research and good lay understanding of Medicine also still come in useful now! See my cancer research publications.
